searchin' for the light

today is a good day.

it's been 2 years since we've seen each other.

"...searching for a better way to live..."

reminiscing,

a flower in her hair,

natural laughter filling the air,

letters of affection & admiration.

the way we stepped into one another's life

& its rippling effects.

the changes in

mind

body

& soul.

a blessing in disguise.

when we talked about cosmic indifference,

purpose,

& love.

you changed my life.

mentally,

physically,

& spiritually.

the possibilities of life,

its challenges,

its redemption,

its beauty:

going on 3 mile runs
or
licking up pumpkin ice cream,

discussing the desire to travel
or
"settling down" to raise future babies,

god's will.

the hope you provided.

"...we found each other in the dark..."

remembering

the letters we've written,

the smiles we've exchanged,

the tears of departure.

sharing the same colored eyes,

sitting at concerts,

rejoice;

life is always changing,

its possibilities are endless.
